My teenage daughter, Magina, and I are running Imaginary Alpaca Ranch
together.
I bring to this business a BS degree in finance and purchasing, 11 years
hand raising and selling exotic parrots, family geneaology research,
and 11 years in pre-automotive manufacturing where the biggest emphasis
is on QUALITY, ZERO DEFECTS, and COST. I love to crochet small projects
and you'll find my Alpaca Hats on sale as well as donated to cancer
patients who deserve the luxury of alpaca fiber in 22 natural colors.
I plan on learning to spin this winter, and have sent fiber out to the
mill to be made into yarn and into rovings to get me started. By this
fall, we expect to have a new alpaca fashion line by RAELYN online under
our farm store.
Magina brings her bright young mind, imagination, and the enthusiasm
of youth to our Imaginary Alpaca Ranch. She has started to learn Spanish
this year at school, and is finding that she can DO MATH!! She also
has an excellent memory and I often make use of it. She will be halter
training the crias and helping to show them in the ring next Spring.
Together we are growing our herd at our offsite pastures on County Road
82, near Elmore/WoodvilleTurnpike Exit # 91 and a mile down the road
from Lofty Pine Alpaca Ranch, in Lindsey, Ohio. We have found wonderful,
friendly people there who are helping us to be successful in the alpaca
business from start-up. If you have any questions for us or want to
know anything about our alpacas, our fashion line, or those hats, we'd
love to hear from you.
